When the temps drop, it is usually a little harder for me to find my motivation to layer up and go out and run. So far we have been pretty lucky and the temperatures have been mild in Southern Delaware. As the weekend forecast approaches, it is already looking like the cold may be rolling in. One way I keep myself motivated is by signing up for challenges. The first challenge I will be participating in this year is the Zooma Run Love Challenge. This challenge is great for me as I will be sent a training plan to focus my runs- whether they take place outside, or inside on the treadmill.
This challenge starts January 9th (hurry and sign up!) and ends with a virtual 10k or 5k on or around February 14th. The ladies of Zooma have this event set up so you get a training plan, the awesome sweat shirt and medal pictured below, a weekly newsletter, swag from sponsors (think amazing Feetures! socks), access to an awesome and inspirational facebook group, and bonus podcast episodes.
Participating in the Zooma Run Love Challenge will cost $50.00 but you will be supplied with the motivation, accountability and goodies in the mail to help you cross that virtual 10k or 5k finish line in February! To register for the Run Love Challenge, visit www.zoomarun.com and sign up today to begin training on January 9th!
As you continue to plan your race calendar for 2017, do not forget to add the Zooma Annapolis Half Marathon or 10k! This year the Zooma girls are celebrating their 10th runiversary and want you and all your best running friends at the starting line! This race has the most beautiful views as it runs through downtown Annapolis and over the Severn River. While the hills may seem hard at times, the finish line party is worth it! Make plans to add this race to your calendar and sign up today using code KRISTEN2017 to save 10% off your registration also at www.zoomarun.com
