Stitch Fix Review

Delivery Time #5: |Stitch Fix Review|

Ohhh how much I love Stitch Fix delivery day! It is one thing to get the email saying your package has been shipped but when I see this box on my doorstep another level of excitement comes out!For this month’s fix I asked for pieces that I could wear back to school and transition into fall- yes I am aware that it is still summer and I still have a few weeks before I return to school, however fall is coming.

As always with any Stitch Fix, I am charged a $20.00 styling fee. My stylist checks out my note that I write to her on the Stitch Fix app or website, my Pinterest board and my style profile and carefully selects five items for me to try on. I can keep whatever I like, and what I do not like  I take back to the post office in a a pre-paid bag and send back. Checking out is easy and I always use my app for that. If I keep anything I can use the $20.00 styling fee as a “credit” and you also can snag a 25% discount if you keep all five items!

So for my August Fix I was sent one pair of pants, one cardigan, one short sleeve top, one 3/4 sleeve top, and a dress.

pants app

First up is the Laurie Skinny Pant by Liverpool. These pants were very comfortable and a nice shade of grey that would be perfect for work however they were just too tight for my liking. They did also have an elastic waist band which I was a fan of but the tightness outweighed the comfort. End result: RETURNED

Next was the Marisol Mixed Material 3/4 Sleeve Knit Top. On first inspection these seemed like a boring knit top, however when you turn it around, it has an adorable white polka dot back! This shirt was slightly longer in the back which I was a fan of but overall I was just not attached or overly attracted to it. End result: RETURNED

SS shirt app

The next item I tried on the Falisa Crochet Detail Knit Top by Loveappella. I did not love this print at first glace but did like the detail on the back. This top was very soft but I think over priced. End Result: RETURNED

sweater app

The fourth item was the Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan by 41Hawthorn. While I absolutely loved this color and softness of the fabric I own too many cardigans to justify another one right now. End Result: RETURNED

dress app

Last but certainly not least was the Deonna Dress by Skies are Blue. As soon as I saw this dress in the package I knew I would be keeping it. I already had the perfect event picked out to wear it too and was just so over the moon excited to have a beautiful, comfortable dress in a color that I do not already have in the closet! I am wearing the dress TODAY for an event I have and I already feel more confident and ready to knock it out of the park! End Result: KEEPING!!!

While I did only keep one item, I could not be more happy about the timing, fit and feel of this dress. I did not have time to go out and buy a new dress for my event and did not want to wear my plain old boring black shift dress.

Stitch Fix has been so much fun and so convenient as I really do not have time to go out and shop for myself. If you want to try out Stitch Fix use any of the links in the post and give it a try!

  1. That red dress is supercute! I agree on the other 4 items though… the color of the cardigan was lovely, but I just don’t dig the shape.

One of those days, I will try Stitchfix myself…
